Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is a well-known Indian actress known for her roles in the movies Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! Her career began as a performer in the 1980s. Her fame was boosted by the movie Tezaab with an established actor Anil Kooor. Her next film was the film Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. In Mumbai her home, she grew up by middle class parents. As a child, she began to learn about age, she started to take dance lessons. At the age of 15 when she began to act, she struggled as many films she made were not successful. Then, she discovered success with Indian film and climbed to the very top. Following her marriage was over, she took a few months to rest from her acting career before returning. Recently, she had an integral role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit received 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Her reputation also includes as a social activist.
