Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five when she left for Oxfordshire and enrolled in the Dragon School. Emma's ambition was to become an actor. When she was six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons on singing, acting, and dance. By the time she turned 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone The 2001 film version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was cast in 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe that they had all been through eight consecutive auditions. Emma's debut film appearance came as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The highest-grossing movie of 2001 it set new records for its opening day opening and opening weekend takings. Critics gave high praise to the film, particularly those who were young. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British paper, praised her for her performance. Emma's performance was recognized and won five awards later for the movie.
